ERALDO SALMIERI - Conductor

The Austro-Italian conductor Eraldo Salmieri graduated in 1988 from the WienerMusikhochschule with a degree in orchestral and opera conducting in the class ofProfessor Otmar Suitner and was invited by Herbert von Karajan to join rehearsals inSalzburg and Vienna. After his debut at the Deutsches Theater in Munich he conducted at numerous operahouses, including: Hungarian State Opera Budapest, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe,Staatstheater Bremen, Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Opéra de Rennes,Sofia Opera and Ballet, The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet, Theatre of the Republic of Belarus and Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.

Eraldo Salmieri – also active in the symphonic repertoire – has so far appeared andperformed in cities like Vienna, Bonn, Zurich, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, Milan, Turin,Verona and many others. Mr. Salmieri was also Music Director of the New Symphony Orchestra (from Sofia,Bulgaria). Furthermore he was invited to conduct as the Chief Conductor at the Solothurn OperaFestival in Switzerland. He was invited by Maestro Giancarlo Menotti to be Conductor and Music Advisor of the Festival deiDue Mondi in Spoleto where he worked with the Juilliard Orchestra from New York.

Moreover he conducted at: the Loreley Festival, at the inauguration of the new Opera Houseof Belo Horizonte in Brazil, and as a Guest Conductor at the Sejong Center forPerforming Arts in Seoul, South Korea. In Poland Mr. Salmieri was the Music Director and the Principal Conductor at TeatrWielki in Poznan. Currently he is a Music Director at Teatr Wielki Łódź where in the season of 2014/15 he conducted premieres of: “Flying Duchman“ by Wagner, “La Traviata“ and “Il Trovatore“by Verdi, Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Seviglia“ and Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena“.

Maestro Salmieri opened the season 2014/15 at the Staatstheater Saarbrücken with Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor“. Eraldo Salmieri has worked with the Operosa Festival since 2007 when heconducted "Don Giovanni" by W.A. Mozart with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.This Operosa 2015 edition is Mr. Salmieri's second appearance in Montenegro, after last years “Romeo and Juliet“ in Porto Montenegro.


MARTIN LLOYD-EVANS – Director

Having initially studied Physics at Manchester University, Martin now works predominantly in opera.  Internationally recognized as a director, teacher and coach, he has staged over 80 productions in the UK and abroad. Most recently, he directed The Pirates of Penzance for Scottish Opera, and Adriana Lecouvreur, his thirteenth production for Opera Holland Park. Other work includes: Mitridate for Classical Opera Company at Sadler’s Wells and the Buxton Festival; many productions for British Youth Opera including the London premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Flight; the premiere of On London Fields at the Hackney Empire which won a Royal Philharmonic Society Award. He has directed many productions for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he is also Resident Producer.

Theatre work includes The Russian Doctor and The Articulate Hand in collaboration with Andrew Dawson, recently featured on TEDMED. Martin worked with the Operosa Festival in 2010 and most recently in the 2014 production of "Romeo & Juliette" at Porto Montenegro.

SIMON CORDER - Lighting and stage designer

Award winning lighting designer Simon Corder left school in 1978 and joined the circus as a ring boy. Opera includes productions for: Angers Nantes Opera; English National Opera; English TouringOpera; La Scala, Milan; LA Opera; Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires; Teatro Regio, Parma; Teatro delle Muse, Ancona; Teatro Lirico di Cagliari; Teatro Verdi di Pisa; Opéra Municipal, Marseille; Opera Holland Park; Opera North; OTC, Ireland; The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; Scottish Opera; Welsh National Opera; Wexford Festival Opera; He designed projections for Operama's stadium Aida, widely seen in Europe and South America. Theatre includes productions for: The Bush Theatre; Lumiere & Son; The Lyric Hammersmith; The National Theatre; Peter Hall Company; Royal Shakespeare Company; Royal Court. His work has appeared several times in the West End, and he was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2004.

In 1995 Simon created lighting for the Night Safari attraction in Singapore - the first night-time zoo in the world, since visited by over ten million people. Dance productions include set and lighting for The Featherstonehaughs and The Cholmondeleys since 1994, and several site specific works with Steven Koplowitz in Britain and Germany.

Simon makes his own installation and art works including fluorescent pieces Bough 1 (London, 2004); Bough 2 (Glasgow 2006); Winter Garden (Durham 2009). Standing Still (2002). Cascade (2006) was a site-specific event in and around the Cascade at The Alnwick Garden, commissioned for a world cultural summit.


OLIVERA TI
ČEVIĆ - Despina

Olivera Tičević is a master's-degree student at the Bern University of the Arts, class of prof. Christian Hilz. She was student of High School for Music and Ballet “Vasa Pavić“ in Podogrica with prof. Marina Cuca Franović. She got her bachelor and first master's-degree in Belgrade’s Faculty of Music in the class of prof. Aneta Ilić. 

She participated in numerous competitions, both national and international. The most significant is the prize for the most perspective performer of Austria Barock Akademie 2011 and 2013 (series of concerts in Austria, Germany, Sweden, Turkey, France, etc.). Olivera sang premieres of modern music composers Žarko Mirković, Nina Perović, Draško Adzić and Marko Kovač. She is enroled in the opera “Magic Flute“ by Mozart in the role of Pamina in the Opera & Theatre Madlenianum, Belgrade. Olivera is enroled at Royal Theatre of Montenegro “Zetski dom” , Cetinje (co production wih Serbian National Theatre, Novi Sad) in “The Threepenny Opera“ by K. Weil for the role of Lucy.


MILLA MIHOVA - Fiordiligi

Milla was born in Sofia in 1987. She graduated highschool in 2006 and eversince Milla has been studying singing with the Bulgarian soprano Darina Takova. She finished the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pantcho Vladigerov”  in 2012 with a State exam in singing and acting. She won a scholarship from the “Boris Christoff” Foundation for the Opera Studio at the National Academy “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, where she specialized with Renata Scotto, vocal coach Anna Vandi and stage arts coach Cesare Scarton. She took part in many master classes in Bulgaria and abroad. Milla got first prizes in the competitions “Parashkev Hadzhiev” in 2012, and “The Euterpe Rose” held in Karlovo in 2014. Milla was finalist at the International Competition “Magda Olivero” in Milan, Italy 2013 and at the International Competition “Giulio Neri” in Torrita di Siena, Italy 2014.

Milla’s repertoire include The Fire, The Princess and the Nightingale in “L’enfant et les sortileges” by Maurice Ravel, Konstanze in Mozart’s “Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail” and Lucia Ashton in Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor”. 


NATAŠA RAŠI
Ć - Dorabella

Nataša was born in 1987. She finished music school “Kosta Manijlović“ in the class of Sofija Gligorić. After studying Law in the Belgrade University, Nataša goes to Novi Sad to study singing in the Music Academy in the class of Prof. Milica Stojadinović. At the moment, Nataša is on her Master studies in Belgrade, in the class of Prof. Violeta Pančetović Radaković and she is a member of Opera Studio in the National Theatre Belgrade. Nataša attended Master Classes by Alessandro Corbelli in Florence, she was a scholar of ISA Opera Vienna, and she worked with Prof. Gabriele Lechner. In Vienna she participated in two productions: “Der Fledermaus“ (Count Orlovsky) and “Le Nozze di Figaro“ (Cherubino). She attended Master Classes of Tatjana Andrejić, Predrag Gosta and Marijana Mijanović.

On the Opera stage, Nataša performed in “Carmen“ by Bizet (Mercedes), “Il matrimonio segreto“ by Chimarosa (Fidalma), “Rigoletto“ by Verdi (Giovanna) and in Mozart's “Zauberflute“ as a Boy.


MARKO
ŽIVKOVIĆ - Ferrando

Marko Živković was born in 1988. He finished singing department in Music School “Kosta Manojlović” in Zemun, in class of Nenad Nenić. He is currently on master studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. He participated in various competitions in region and he attended masterclasses by prof. Nikola Mijailović, Jasmina Trumbetaš, David Bižić, Đorđe Nešić, Claudia Visca, Predrag Gosta and Marijana Mijanović. He is a member and soloist of the choir Viva Vox, with which he performed around the world.

He is professionally engaged in Opera and Theatre Madlenianum in productions: “Rebecca” , “Les Miserables”, “L’elisir d’amore”, “Pagliacci” and in operetta “Wiener Blut” by Johan Strauss (Joseph).  Marko is employed in choir of the Belgrade National Theatre and from 2014 he is as a soloist in “Salome” by Richard Strauss and in “Magic Flute” by Mozart (Tamino). He performed with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra  in 2012, and on the Bizzarte Concert in 2015. 


OGNJEN MILIVOJŠA - Don Alfonso

Ognjen was born in 1991 in Novi Sad, Serbia.  He started with singing lessons in 2009 and he have since been enchanted with the possibilities, limits and uses of the human voice. Ognjen is first and foremost a lover of song/lied and choral music. Ognjen finished Music School “Isidor Bajić“ in the class of Prof. Senka Nedeljković and he has a degree in Electronics.

He was awarded with the “Melanija Bugarinović“ award for young singers for three consecutive years. Also, Ognjen was awarded several times in international competitions. Ognjen performed in “Rigoletto“  (Usciere) in Kilden, Kristiansand, Norway, and in “Gianni Schichi“ (Simone) in Music Academy in Osjek, Croatia. Ognjen is a member of an International Chamber Choir  “Utopia & Reality“ with which he was on Tour for the last two years in Ireland, China, Slovenia, Italy and Norway. He performed in various Serbian operettas for children. 


PAVLE ŽARKOV - Guglielmo

Pavle Žarkov is engaged in the National Opera Belgrade and Musical Theatre “Terazije” Belgrade. He worked with numerous Serbian as well as foreign acclaimed directors and conductors: Musical production of “Cabaret” choreographed and directed by Chet Walker (New York,USA), opera production of Salieri`s “L’Angiolina” with Swiss opera director Nico Trees in Beeskow, Germany. Pavle also participated in international opera festival “OperOderSpree“ in 2010 in Germany.

As a soloist in National Theatre in Belgrade, Pavle performed in operas: G.Puccini “La Boheme“ (Marcello), G.Rossini “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” (Fiorello), G.Bizet “Carmen” (Morales and DanCairo), R.Leoncavallo “I Pagliacci” (Silvio), G.Verdi “Un ballo in Maschera” (Silvano), G.Puccini “Madama Butterfly” (Commissario,Yamadori), G.Verdi “La Traviata” (Baron Douphol). In 2014/2015 season Pavle was cast as a Papageno in Mozart’s “Zauberflute“, Mercutio in Operosa “Romeo and Juliet“ production, and in october 2015 he will have a debut as Taddeo in Rossini’s “L’Italiana in Algeri“.


UROŠ UGARKOVI
Ć pianist

Uroš Ugarković is a pianist and a counductor. He was born in Belgrade in 1986. He studied piano in Belgrade with Prof. Božena Grüner and in Budapest.  Uroš studied conducting in Berlin and Munich with Maestros Lutz Köhler and Christian Ehwald. From the season 2014/2015 Uroš works as an assistant of GMD in Stadttheater Bielefeld in Germany. His future engagaments include  projects in Rijeka, Florence, Berlin, Kiel and Ostrava.


NATALIJA MI
ĆIĆ - Assistant Conductor

Natalija Mićić graduated Conducting and also obtained her MA in 2014, class of maestro BojanSuđić. During her studies, shehas worked with renowned international conductors such as: Lior Shambadal (Israel), Ronald Zollman (Belgium), Roberto Duarte (Brazil), Christian Mandeal (Romania), Michael Scheck (Germany).    

She performed with Catholic Church "Virgin Mary" Choir from Zemun, Choir of Serbian-Jewish Singing Society, Madrigal Choir, Symphony Orchestra of Radio Television of Serbia and with the string orchestra at the "Apulia International Music Festival", Italy.She is the assistant conductorof the Youth Super Orchestra and she conducted and recorded contemporary Serbian composer's pieces with chamber orchestra at Faculty of Music in Belgrade.

Since 2014 Natalija is the Assistant Conductor and Academia Coordinator at Operosawith the adapted version of Mozart's opera "La Clemenza di Tito"directed by Morten Roesen on her repertoire.


TADIJA MILETI
Ć - Assistant Stage Director

After fifteen years of musical education at Music school "Stanković" Tadija gained a diploma in playwriting in the class of Siniša Kovačević. Tadija works in Opera and Theater Madlenianum since 2007.  In December 2011 he formed the organization "Cultural Element", which presents and promotes culture and cultural awareness in the country. 

So far Tadija was an assistant in eight productions and he worked in the number of projects as a playwrighter. Tadija had a series of singing roles in operas and musicals, he is working as stage manager, prompter, sound designer, video director. He is a member and president of the jury at several literary events and theater festivals. In February 2014 he directed opera “L’elisir d’amore“ in Belgrade and in the same year he became editor in chief of “MosaIQ“ magazine. Tadija is director and composer of project "Awakening“. Since year 2015 Tadija is working for Festival of Monodrama and Mime. He has developed his skills in Monaco, in the Monte Carlo Opera and he is member of Mensa.


NEVENA
ĐORĐEVIĆ - Costume Design assistant and Props

Nevena Đorđević was born in Belgrade. She finished High School for Design and Music High School “Stanković“. Nevena graduated at University of professional studies for fine and applied arts in Belgrade, and currently she is a student at the Academy of Serbian Orthodox Church for restoration and conservation. From 2011, Nevena is a member of the ensemble at "Opera and Theater Madlenianum" in projects: opera "Pagliacci " and "L’elisir d’amore", musicals "Rebecca" and "Les Misérables", operetta "Wiener Blut". 

Nevena worked on costume design and costume realization on projects "Traviata" (2008) and "Wicked" (2010) performed at Kolarac University. Nevena worked on Young Artists’ Educational Program by Operosa Academia as costume and stage designer, hair and make up artist on project „La Clemenza di Tito“ (2015).
