Ana Grigorović

Stage director

Ana Grigorović was born in Belgrade in 1987. She graduated Theatre and Radio Directing, Faculty of Dramatic Arts in 2012. Gained elementary education in piano, music pedagogy and solo singing in Music school "Mokranjac", Belgrade.

Worked as an assistant director both in drama and opera: Death and the Dervish, by Meša Selimović; Der Fliegende Holländer, by Richard Wagner; Tosca, by Giacomo Puccini in National Theatre, Belgrade.

Directed plays: After Sun, by Rodrigo Garcia (Students' Cultural Centre, Belgrade); North Force by Milena Bogavac (Dadov Youth Theatre, Belgrade); The Paul Street Boys, by Ferentz Molnar (Dadov Youth Theatre, Belgrade); New Tenant / A Hell of a Mess by Eugene Ionesco (Cultural Centre "Vuk Karadžić", Belgrade); Beauty and the Beast, by Željko Hubač ("Bora Stanković" Theatre, Vranje); If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle, by Andreea Valean (National Theatre "Sterija", Vršac); Five Boys, by Simona Semenič (Little theatre "Duško Radović", Belgrade); Fifty Blows, by Tamara Baračkov (Atelje 212, Belgrade).

Received several awards: "Hugo Klajn" annual award for best student of Theatre Directing in generation; "Zoran Ratković" award for best stage direction of the play North Force; City of Belgrade annual award for artistic accomplishment; Special award for New Theatre Tendencies on TIBA Festival for the play Five Boys; Special award on International Small Scene Festival Rijeka, Croatia, for the play Fifty Blows.

Currently working as an assistant director in opera department in the National Theatre, Belgrade.

Fluent in English, French and Spanish.
