Young Artists’ Educational Program

The Operosa Academia, Young Artists’ Educational Program is developed with Master Classes, Workshops, Productions and Lectures in topics varying from vocal technique, history and periods of opera to career management and debates about current music business and art funding. Featuring renowned international guests this program is a platform from which young artists can gain important direction in their careers within the performing arts.

Collaboration

The Operosa Academia Educational Program is actively seeking to collaborate with international and local Music Schools, Academies, Theatres as well as Business, Dance, Applied Arts and Design Schools and aims to develop exchange between the arts and music business today. Such networking and efforts earned Operosa the invitation to join the opera network enoa in 2015. The 13 esteemed partners include Aix-en-Provence Festival, Academy of Opera di Verona, Helsinki Festival and the national opera houses and institutions from 11 countries.

Operosa's partnership with such notable organizations keep bringing artists and performances from all over the world to collaborate and develop the next generation of artists.

Qualification Program

Since 2013 Operosa is offering the Academia Vocational Qualification Program. It is a work related qualifications course based on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) of BTEC Specialist Performing Art Certificate and Diploma. It gives learners the additional knowledge, understanding and skills they need to prepare for employment. They also provide career development opportunities for those already in work.

Qualifications are offered in the disciplines of Singing and Repetiteur.

 

Operosa Incentive and Operosa rewards

Operosa Academia runs a program of support towards activities and career plans of young artists in the field of singing, music, performing arts and opera called Operosa Incentive. All the interested candidates have a window of 6 months every year, from October 1st to April 1st, in submitting their requests and 3 of them will receive an Incentive of 200 EUR.

Operosa Academia supports Lazar Jovanović International singing competition and annually gives rewards to its contestants. Until now over 20 young artists were given scholarships, roles in our Festival productions, participations at masterclasses and summer schools.

É a primeira vez que está na capital portuguesa, que participa num workshop da ENOA – European Network of Opera Academies – e que a Operosa Foundation, organização que se destina a promover os jovens artistas de ópera nos Balcãs e da qual é membro, se faz representar nestes encontros internacionais.
