Graduated in Piano and later in Law, the italian bass made his debut very young performing in the title role of Massenet’s DON QUICHOTTE in productions of As.Li.Co. presented in several theatres of Northern Italy. He then attended the OpernStudio International courses by the Opernhaus Zurich during the year 2002-03. Selected by Alberto Zedda he has subsequently attended the courses of the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, debuting there in IL VIAGGIO A REIMS, and the IVAI courses in Tel Aviv under the guide of Joan Dornemann, debuting there in the title-role of LE NOZZE DI FIGARO.
For the re-opening of La Fenice in Venice he sang Dottor Grenvil in LA TRAVIATA conducted by Lorin Mazel and was then re-invited for major roles such as Aladino in Meyerbeer’s CROCIATO IN EGITTO and Indra in Massenet’s LE ROI DE LAHORE under the baton of Marcello Viotti. With the Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie he sang Leporello in DON GIOVANNI on a Japan tour and SAMSON ET DALILA as Abimelech, both productions conducted by Ono Kazushi. In Luzern he performed in the title role in Rossini’s MOSE and at the Opern Haus in Zurich he guested as Jorg in STIFFELIO conducted by Stefano Ranzani as well as Talbot in MARIA STUARDA with Ralf Weikert.

Following performances were WERTHER with the Munich Rundfunkorchester under the leading guide of Marco Armiliato; Oroe in SEMIRAMIDE and Pistola in FALSTAFF and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris; Orbazzano in TANCREDI conducted by René Jacobs in several European theatres, Tan Dun’s WATERPASSION at the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana in Rimini staged by Denis Krief, Timur in TURANDOT and Talbot in MARIA STUARDA at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the latter also performed at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège where he was also re-invited for Don Basilio in IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA and LA BOHEME (Colline) as well as CAPULETI E MONTECCHI (Capellio) in Avignon, NORMA (Oroveso) for the theatre in Massy and in Sao Paolo, Donizzetti’s IL DILUVIO UNIVERSALE in St. Gallen Festspiele.

Concerning his concert activity, he sang VERDI’S REQUIEM with the RTVE Orchestra in Madrid conducted by Adrian Leaper, MOZART’S REQUIEM with the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia conducted by Zoltan Pesko, BEETHOVEN’S SIMPHONY n. 9 with the Orchestra Toscanini conducted by Günter Neuhold.

Among recent productions, Oroe in SEMIRAMIDE at the San Carlo theatre in Naples, Raimondo in LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR in Valladolid, Count Rodolfo in LA SONNAMBULA at La Fenice in Venice.
