Cristina Patturelli is a classically trained soprano and boasts a vast repertoire, which crosses a variety of musical genres, from opera to liederistic, jazz, modern and musical theatre. Since 1997 she regularly performs a concert and operatic activity.
Career highlights from the theatrical stage include:
“Die Zauberflote” (Papagena) by W. A. Mozart and “La Boheme” (Musetta) by G. Puccini in Rome;
“ Il Telefono” (lucy) by G. Menotti at the Teatro Comunale and sponsored by the city of Caserta,
“Die Alte” a comic contemporary lyric opera composed by D. Nicolau that has casted the melody of the homonymous Mozart lieder back;
“Il Maestro di Musica” (Dorina ) by G.B. Pergolesi and “ Lo Speziale” (Volpino) by J. Haydn at teatro B. Brecht of Nereto (TE) under the Maestro Giacinto Sergiacomo direction and with the M° Christian Starinieri’ s collaboration “VII Festival dell'Intermezzo e dell'Opera Buffa”;
“Serva padrona” (Serpina) and “La Contadina Astuta” (Scintilla) by G.B. Pergolesi.
Still concerning the barouque music she has also been an interpreter of the Domenico and Alessandro Scarlatti’s melodies.
Oratorio and lieder soloist appearances include:
G. Fauré ’s requiem,
“Elias” by Mendelssohn
“Exsultate, Iubilate” (K 165) by W. A. Mozart ,
Pergolesi's Stabat Mater;
various lieder by Bach like “Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen” BWV 51.
She performs a concert about the romanticism with the Schuman’ s op. 42 “Frauenliebe und Leben” , and the Schubert’s lieder:“an die Musik”, “Der Hirt auf dem Felsen” and “Der Musensohn” in collaboration with the Association “In memoria A. B. Michelangeli” with the m° Grazia Tilli, and the m° Pablo Téllez,.
A frequent recitalist and concerts, noteworthy peformances include solo recitals at the cultural event:
The review “Classica Estate” in Massa Lubrense (NA);
The event "Tonight" sponsored by the city of Casagiove;
the charity event “Theleton”;
the cultural event sponsored by the Zonta Organization at “Circolo Ufficiali Marina Militare Italiana” of Napoli;
at the theatre “Garibaldi” of Santa Maria Capua Vetere where, in collaboration with the A.M.A.S. association, she organizes and stages the Musical "Quasi Come Piu' di un Musical" moreover singing an original composition;
at the theatre “Caserta Citta' di Pace” with the recital “Operetta che Passione”;
at the same theatre again, she has been invited from Rotary Club of Caserta to perform a program of melodies by Léhar, Ranzato and Gershwin to the Spring Concert "Caserta Citta' di Pace”.
She has been appointed to commemorate, with a concert, fiftieth year of the Big Maestro Pavarotti’s debut from the Circolo Nazionale of Caserta and she was called back from the same association, to organize and perform a new musical event during the Christmas period.
She firmly collaborates with the maestro Francesco Aliberti and the maestro Antonio Landolfi with whom she played concerts inside important musical reviews like “Arte Donna” and the “Salotti musicali” at the library “B. Croce” of Naples.
In collaboration with the Centro di Musica Antica Pietà de' Turchini of Naples, she has been member of the Choral Misterium Vocis directed by the M° Rosario Totaro.
Cristina improves her studies at the Fiesole, Santa Cecilia and Jacopo Napoli Academies.
Under the guide of the maestro Claudio Desderi she refines the repertoire of Mozart and the interpretation of the sheet music at the teatro Borgatti of Cento; at the same time she studies and brilliantly graduates in opera singing.
In 2010, at the “San Pietro a Majella” conservatory of Naples, she takes the second level academic degree in musical disciplines summa cum laude and distinction to print the graduation thesis concerning Francesco Florimo, about which, later, was published her book with the same title (ed. Santabarbara, 2010).
She is a native speaker of Italian and she has got an exelent level of spoken and written English language (Oxford and Cambridge certificates) and sings in French and German too.
She is interested in the artistic vocal problems and follows the fifth international convention “La Voce Artistica” in Ravenna (doc. Franco Fussi); she deepens her knowledge of it, taking part to the masters and diagnostic activities, prevention and treatment about the voice and language disturbs of Prof. surgeon, specialist in phoniatrics and otorhinolaryngologist Massimo Borghese.
Thank to the abilities and skills achieved, she still collaborates as vocal coach and technique consultant, with the “Ugo Valerio” music association in nearby Caserta.
She won the national opera singing competition “Campi Flegrei” and she is the finalist in the international “Concorso Albanese” of Torre del Greco.
She also gains the audition called by Teatro Opera Milano and the selection for the musical “Gitana” by M° Giuseppe Raffa; she is selected by the association "In Armonia" of Frascati e takes part in the laboratory: "LA BOTTEGA DELL'ARTE"; and passes the selection to attend the “ Toscana Opera Festival” in San Gimignano (Siena).
This last year she extended her activities towards organization and management of musical and cultural events, and she started a personal project focused on the dissemination of opera culture among young people, during which she managed, organized and staged a revisited opera for a series of shows open to primary and secondary schools; moreover, she have been appointed for two months (6 may-7 june 2013) as music substitute teacher at junior high school.
