Milica Jovičić

Singer/Soprano

Combining many musical genres is not always advisable, but Serbian soprano Milica Jovičić, successfully proves it's possible. Her interest in Opera is intertwined with traditional Balkan Music and Dances. As a vocal soloist and violinist, Ms Jovičić has performed with various Serbian folklore ensembles which provided her several professional world tours. Being entitled a Laureate of The Third Serbian Classical Song Competition, demonstrates she thoroughly fits all the skills and knowledge from both her vocations.
Since the recitalist and a member of a chamber trio Eolin (voice, oboe, organ), Ms Jovičić's repertoire contains opera arias of different styles, romances from zarzuelas, Lied and sacral pieces. Until now, she participated in several opera productions singing mostly leading roles (Fiordiligli in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Contessa Almaviva in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro). Ms Jovičić performed in several festivals (Opera ISA Vienna Festival, Tocando el cielo – Panticosa, Operosa Opera Festival – Belgrade), and attended master classes with some of the greatest opera names - Carmen Bustamante, Teresa Berganza, Darina Takova, Joan Pons, Dolora Zajick, Anna Samuil, Peter Edelmann...
During her bachelor and master's degree studies at The Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade, with Mrs Violeta Pančetović - Radaković, Ms Jovičić was awarded The Best Student of the Voice Department. Obtaining a bachelor degree in Spanish language and Hispanic Literatures, she decided to continue her music formation at The Conservatory Liceu, with esteemed maestra Carmen Bustamante.
