Dimitar Kosev


Dimitar Kosev, born on 20th October 1992, in Ruse, Bulgaria.
First piano lessons received at the age of 6 from Evgeni Zhelyazkov.
2011 graduated from the National School of Arts - 'Vesselin Stoyanov', Ruse in 2011.
Numerous performances in master classes & competition awards

Dimitar was awarded 2nd place in the 'Svetoslav Obretenov' competition, in 2002, in Provadia, Bulgaria.
1st place laureate for contemporary music of Lothar Bandermann, master class at Vienna Young Pianists VYP Academy, in 2006, Vienna, Austria, as well as for performing the composition of E. Grieg in 2007.
Immediately after his graduation from the aforementioned academic institution, Dimitar Kosev was accepted at the Prayner Konservatorium - Vienna, Austria, majoring in Conducting & Piano, led by Professors Maximilian Cencic & Stephan Möller which he graduated in 2014.
He made his debut conducting performance in November, 2013, by opening the international competition - ''Franz Schubert'' along with the Ruse Philharmony & solist - Stephan Möller in the Philharmony Hall in Ruse, Bulgaria.
He is currently a conductor the in State Opera – Stara Zagora and State Opera – Ruse, Bulgaria. He made the premiere performances of "Rigoletto", "Il Barbiere Di Siviglia", "The Magic Flute", Jacques Offenbach "La vie Parisienne", "Le Nozze Di Figaro", "Don Pasquale" and many more.
