Andrey Tulnikov


Andrey Tulnikov was born in 1992 in Siberia.

In 2013, he graduated from the Omsk Musical Shebalin College (under Natalya Sukhoterina).
Since 2013, he has studied in the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (under Dmitry Karpov).

In 2012, Andrey became a laureate of the first prize and the best performer of the Kabalevsky works at the Vth International Kabalevsky Competition (Moscow, Russia). He was also awarded a scholarship of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

In 2013, he was awarded the Grand Prix of the VIth Regional Vocal Competition (Omsk, Russia).

In 2015, he became the youngest finalist at the Opera Singers Competition in Alcamo (Italy) and was awarded a scholarship.

Since 2016, Andrey has been a trainee with the Mikhailovsky Opera (St Petersburg, Russia).
He made his Mikhailovsky Theater debut as Papageno in premier performance of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. At the Theatre he also performs Silvano in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera, Kuligin in The Storm (Kát’a Kabanová by Leoš Janáček); the Prince in Asafiev’s Cinderella, Fiorello and the Officer in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia.

In 2016, he made his debut as Onegin in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Robert in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta at the Music Hall Theatre in St Petersburg.

In 2017, he passed an internship at the Accademia d'Arte Lirica Osimo in Italy. He also participated in the master classes held by Raina Kabaivanska and Vincenzo de Vivo.
He has collaborated with Roland Böer, Mikhail Tatarnikov, Peter Feranec, Gavriel Heine, and other conductors.
