Singer/Mezzo

Mezzo Soprano, Alexandra Sanchez, hails from San Antonio, Texas currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University under the guidance of Dr. Lori Bade. Her credits from Louisiana Stat University Opera include Gamekeeper’s Wife/Owl, The Cunning Little Vixen (2018); Captain, Dog Days (2018); Marcellina, Le Nozze di Figaro (2017); Mother Goose, The Rake’s Progress (2016); Zulma, L’Italiana In Algeri (2016); Peep Bo, The Mikado (2015); Second Witch, Dido and Aeneas (2014). Other engagements include The Countess and The Governess, The Queen of Spades (Russian Opera Workshop 2017); Doralba, L'impresario in Angustie (La Musica Lirica, 2014). Ms. Sanchez was also featured as the Alto Soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Duruflé’s Requiem (First Presbyterian Church 2017/2016), and as a selected vocalist in DCINY’s performance of Duruflé’s Requiem at Carnegie Hall in 2015.
