Singer/Soprano

Ana Petrović (1983) soprano, finished both graduation and post- graduation studies at Faculty of Music in Belgrade. At Faculty of Philology in Belgrade she gained bachelor and master degree at the English language department.
During the studies at Faculty of Music (2005-2009) she took part in numerous concerts in Belgrade and throughout Serbia, participating in the artistic project A road to Belcanto, aimed to promote young Serbian singers. Being a part of the same project, she was performing as a soloist with the orchestra Stanislav Binički in Belgrade during the same period.
She started gaining stage experience in Belgrade drama theater, performing as Venticelli in Peter Shaffer’s drama play Amadeus during five theatrical seasons (2005-2010).
In summer 2010 she attended International summer academy WienPragBudapest in Jennersdorf, Austria and got the opportunity to learn from: Silvana Dussmann, Johanes Bota, Claudia Visca, Monika Steiner, Robert Herzl and Katharina Czernin. That experience enabled her to start learning from professor Gerhard Kahry and Klaus Busch, a coach from Volks oper Wien, from November 2010 until July 2011.
She was a member of the opera studio in the National theater in Belgrade from September 2010 until October 2012. During those two seasons, she was regularly performing in the projects- concerts and performances in the National theater in Belgrade.
Among a lot of solo concerts she held in Belgrade and Serbia, the most important are in the hall of Belgrade Philharmonic orchestra in 2009, in Kolarac concert hall in Belgrade in 2013 and in the Belgrade town hall in 2014 . She also had the opportunity to perform in the concerts in Austria (Jennersdorf in 2010), Slovenia (Maribir, Murska sobota, Grad Goričko in 2011) and Germany (Beeskow, Neuzelle in 2013).
In January 2013 she was invited to sing in the movie Tenor Lirico Spinto directed by the South Korean director Sang Man Kim.
Since February 2013 she has been performing in Opera and theater Madlenianum in Belgrade in the production of “The Magic flute” as Papagena.
In summer 2013 she attended a summer academy OperOderSpree in Beeskow, Germany with professors Snežana Brzaković and Peter Maus, stage director Lars Franke and pianists Andreas Licius, Evgeny Nikiforov and Alexander Illenko. She is the winner of the best interpretation prize of this master course and a scolarship for the summer 2014.
In September 2013 and July 2014 she was performing at the first and second festival of Russian music, Boljšoj festival. The festival was organized and created by the movie director Emir Kusturica on Mećavnik, Serbia
Since february 2014 she is performing as Gianetta in Donizetti's opera "L'elisir d'amore".
During 2014 she has participated in numerous master courses- The Singing Entrepreneur (Darren Abrahams, Arlene Rolph, Clare McCaldin), Clemenza di Tito Workshop (Morten K. Roesen, stage director), Mozart arias master course ( Katherin Hataaja, mezzo soprano),Jennifer Larmore, mezzo soprano and Zoran Todorović, tenore.
In October 2014, she had a debut as Mimi in Puccini's opera "La Boheme" in Belgrade National theater.
