Singer/Soprano

Maria Pavlova was born in 1989 in the city of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. The soprano graduated The National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in 2012, where she attended Velizara Karayankova’s voice class and Plamen Kartalov’s acting class, as well . Since 2013 she has been performing in children’s operas at Sofia National Opera and Ballet. She has taken part in “Haenzel und Gretel”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, etc. In 2014 she sang the role of Tebaldo in Don Carlos at Sofia National Opera and Ballet. In 2016 she made her debut in the role of Amal in the Amal and the night visitor one act opera, Menotti in Sofia National Opera and Ballet. Since 2016 she has been working for the Musical Theater in Veliko Tarnovo, performing the roles of Valncienne (Die Lustige Witwe), Arsena (Zigeuner Baron), Liza (Grafin Mariza),
etc. The young soprano won the first prize in the second international competition “Art Stars” in Varna. In 2017 she started working in the Varna Opera Theatre, where she made her debut as Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti). She also sings in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Cats and Monthe Christo (Iv Desca). In September 2017 she made her debut as Frasquita (Carmen) in Dionysia Opera Festival in Corfu as part from Orlin Anastassov’s foundation of the young singers. In november 2017 she made her debut as Adina in L'Elisir D'amore in tour in Spain with Concerlirica. She has taken part in master classes with Fiorenza Cosotto, Ana Tomova Sintow and Larisa Gergieva in Bulgaria.
