Matthew Ibbotson

Singer/Tenor

Matthew is a 28 year old, Essex-Born and a Classically Trained Tenor and is the winner of the 2008 BBC reality TV series, Last Choir Standing with Only Men Aloud!

Matthew made his professional Musical-Theatre debut in 2009 as MC Clearlake in Buddy: The Buddy Holly. He has notably performed as Dr. Benjamin Fozzard in 1888 and Trigger Alpert in Bugle Boy at the Garrick Theatre and on the UK Tour.

Since graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2008, Matthew has explored a variety of performance experiences; including Commercials, Large Corporate Events as well as Theatre work.

In 2012, Matthew performed as a soloist in the Bernstein Mass at the Royal Albert Hall.

Matthew has just completed a contract as lead artist at the Venetian Macau-Resort-Hotel in China, performing in and supervising shows. Matthew took instrumental roles in the running of the Venetian Carnevale & Dreamworks on the Cotai Strip - Directing, Choreographing and performing in the Romeo and Juliet and providing logistical support.
