Karen Schriesheim

Having graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama's Artist Master's course, where she studied with Yvonne Kenny, Miss Schriesheim now practices as a freelancer in the United States and Europe. Her operatic roles include Poppea (Agrippina, Handel), Morgana (Alcina, Handel), Zerlina (Don Giovanni, Mozart), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte, Mozart), Barberina (Le Nozze di Figaro, Mozart), Nanetta (Falstaff, Verdi), Fasquita (Carmen, Berlioz) and Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica, Puccini).

In addition to opera, Miss Schriesheim is an avid recitalist, and has appeared in song recitals in Berlin, Munich, London and Chicago at venues such as The Ballery, The Dankhaus and more.

She is quite interested in new american works, be they art song, chamber works or operas, and enjoys programming concerts that put such music in dialogue with her other passion, the baroque.
