Singer/Soprano

Canadian Soprano Bridget Hogan has been praised for her “shimmering sound, and versatility of repertoire.” Equallyat home singing recital repertoire, oratorio and operatic works and musical theater standards, She has appeared as a recitalist throughout Canada and the United States. Ms. Hogan has been a guest artist soloist with the New York City Ballet, New York City Opera, San Diego Opera, Toronto Philharmonia, Elmer Iseler Singers of Canada and Windsor Symphony Orchestra among others.
Ms. Hogan most recently appeared with Resonanz Opera in Cleveland as Mme Lidoine in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites. She joined San Diego Opera as the Shepherd boy in their production of Tosca. Her roles with the New York City Opera include Ninetta from La Perichôle, and a featured lap dancer from the BAM co production of the New York Premiere of Anna Nicole. Other operatic credits include Marguerite- Faust (New World Symphony) Rosalinde – Die Fledermaus (Light Opera New Jersey) Gretel -Hansel und Gretel among others.
Ms. Hogan was also a featured artist in New York City Opera’s 2011 VOX season. Bridget has been lauded for her interpretation of music of the 20th and 21st century, particularly the one woman show “La Voix Perdue” which played at the 2015 United Solo Theater Festival in New York, to critical acclaim. New York Theater Now wrote: “Hogan’s performance is sometimes mesmerizing, sometimes awe-inspiring. Her dramatic soprano can sweep from angry low notes to shimmering stratospheric strains of near-angelic beauty.” She reprised her role in this work in April 2017 for Resonanz Opera, and again at Oshawa Opra in November 2017.
Bridget Hogan is a past Laureate Winner of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques program, a Canada Council for the Arts Award Winner, and selected participant of the 38th annual vocal masterclass in Brno, Czech Republic. She graduated with her Master of Music Degree in Classical Voice from the Manhattan School of Music, and from the University of Windsor Ontario in Vocal Performance from the University of Windsor Ontario.
