Alessio Cioni was born in 1979 in Empoli, near Florence,and started music and piano studyng when he was six.In 1993 he was admitted in the academy of music,course of "main piano",and,under the direction of M° Enrico Stellini, he graduated with full marks,praise and honourable mention in 1999 at "R. Franci Music School" of Siena.After this Diploma he performed in special concert at Teatro de' Rozzi in Siena,and he obtained a great audience success.
He partecipated in lot of national piano competitions for young pianists where he always obtained excellent valuations by the judging boards.He won First prize in Biella National Competition (1991,with special prize),Osimo (1994), Pistoia National Competition (1998),Cesenatico National Competition (1999,with special prize "E. Calugi"),Gabicce National Competition (1999).After these competitions,he performed in many concerts in Italy and abroad: in Sierre (Switzerland) at Hotel de Ville,in Cesenatico at Teatro Garibaldi, in Pisa at Teatro Verdi.
He frequented courses of piano interpretation:in 1998 under the direction of M° Piero Rattalino,in 2003 with M° Leslie Howard and in 2004 with M° Oxana Yablonskaya at Muziekcentrum Vredenburg of Utrecht,and after this course,he performed "Liszt music" at Main Hall of Muziekcentrum Vredenburg.He attended the Triennal Course of piano advanced studies with M° Andrea Lucchesini in Pinerolo (TO) Music Academy and in 2004 he obtained the final Diploma;then he attended Biennal Course with M° Franco Scala in Pinerolo Music Academy.
In 2005 he performed in a "Liszt music concert" at Sala Patrizia Cerutti Bresso of Pinerolo Academy,playing this program:Hungarian Rhapsody Nr. 9,Benediction de Dieu dans la solitude,Spanish Rapsody,Sonata in B minor and "Dante Sonata".
In 2003 he frequented a chamber music course with M° Rocco Filippini,M° Mariana Sirbu and M° Bruno Canino at Music School of Fiesole. He attended the Piano Course with Joaquin Achucarro at International Chigiana Academy in Siena (2008) and he obtained the Diploma with mention as best participant. He partecipated in European and International Piano Competitions,and he obtained the Finalist Diploma in Taranto (2000),Pescara (2000),Los Angeles U.S.A. "Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition and Festival" (2002)and he obtained international recognitions in:
• Pinerolo (TO) 2001 First Absolute Prize
• Cantù 2002 Second Prize for piano and orchestra
• Gorizia 2002 Third Prize Pecar Competition
• Bolzano 2003 Sixth Prize "Ferruccio Busoni"
• San Marino 2004 Second Prize
• Pordenone 2004 Second Prize "Gante Competition"
• Belgrade Piano Competition 2004 First Absolute Prize and audience award
After these international prizes,he performed many concerts in Italy and abroad.Some of these:
in Sierre (CH) at Hotel de Ville (2000), in Los Angeles U.S.A. at Civic Auditorium with Tachaikowsky Symphony Orchestra v(2002), in Firenze at Teatro della Pergola (2003),in Porto (Portugal) at Ipanema Park (2002),in Milano at Salone degli Affreschi,in Barga at Teatro dei Differenti (2003),in Empoli at Teatro Shalom (2003),in Sulmona at Auditorium dell'Annunziata (2004),in Pistoia at Salone Vescovile (2007), in Roma at Palazzo Braschi and Teatro Kèiros (2012). He played the Liszt Second Concerto at Kolarac Auditorium in Belgrade (2005) with The Radio and TV Simphony Orchestra and recently he was invited to play in concerts at Drinko Hall of Cleveland State University (U.S.A) and at Walsh University of Canton (Ohio).He is President of International Cultural Association SilVer in Empoli and piano teacher at SilVer International Piano Academy
