Logan Lopez Gonzalez

Singer/Countertenor

Logan Lopez Gonzalez is a 22-year-old countertenor. He first discovered opera singing when he was 10 years-old and sang as a soloist alongside the baritone Lionel Lhote, during a concert at the music academy of Frameries. Ever since, his fondness for music has continued to grow.
When Logan was 16 years-old, Laurence Frère discovered the countertenor in him. This started his 2-year training under her wing, leading to his entry in the Royal Conservatory of Mons (Arts²) and more precisely in the tenor Axel Everaert’s class.
His voice could be heard during numerous cultural events such as the Musicales de Beloeil (Belgium), the accademia delle crete senesi (Italy), the “Orlando” International Chamber Music Festival (Netherlands), or the Musiq3 Festival (Belgium).
He also participated in masterclasses with Dietrich Henschel, Axel Everaert and Andrea Marcon (Venice Baroque Orchestra).
He also collaborated with various music ensembles such as the “Orchestre Symphonique des Jeunes de Bruxelles”, “Il Canto di Orfeo”, the “Florilège musical” and “I virtuosi di waterloo & Ictus”.
At just 21 years-old, in March 2017, he was the soloist in La petite renarde rusée de Janacek (directed by Antonella Manacorda). Later, his encounter with Philippe Jaroussky led him to singing at the opera of Nantes in the role of Amore from Monteverdi’s Coronation of Poppea (directed by Gianluca Capuano, Moshe Leiser & Patrice Caurier).
Finally, Logan sings with the chamber choir of Namur, led by Leonardo García Alarcón, and with the choir of La Monnaie (MM Academy).
