Stage director and set designer from Bilbao (Spain)

Study in the stage direction of opera at the Higher Institute of Art of the Colon Theater in Buenos Aires – thanks to scholarships from both the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Teatro Colón Foundation.

In addition, she has studied with renowned stage management professionals such as: Andrés Lima, Cecilia Ruiz-Posse or Jorge de Lassaletta, with the set designers Héctor Calmet, José María Cornide and Norberto Laino and in Italy with the greatest masters of Commedia dell’arte: Carlo Boso, Antonio Fava, Michele Monetta and Claudia Contin.

She began her career working as an assistant director for Betty Gambartes in “Le Nozze di Figaro” by W. A. Mozart in the Teatro Regio and the Teatro Colón and by Lizzie Waisse in “Così Fan Tutte” by W.A. Mozart in the Konex.

At the same time, she adapts and directs Rossini’s “Il barbiere di Seviglia” and the plays “Miss Julie” and “The stronger” by A. Strindberg, still in the city of Buenos Aires.

Already in Spain, she took charge of the direction and staging of the operas: “L’elisir d’amore” by Donizetti, “Tosca” by Puccini -on the lyric season of Calella, Barcelona-

“Der kaiser von Atlantis” by Viktor Ullmann, premiered at the Teatro Principal of Zaragoza -with the conductor José María Sánchez-Verdú- and “La voix humaine” by F. Poulenc presented at the TAC International Festival of Valladolid and the Botín Center of Santander.

In 2018 she assumed the direction and design of the operas: “Orphée et Eurydice” by Gluck. French version. For the Opus Lírica company, premiered at the Victoria Eugenia Theater in San Sebastian and “Le dernier Sorcier” (The Last Sorcerer) by Pauline Viardot at the Villamarta theater in Jerez.

Among her projects of 2019, the resurgence of her adaptation of the opera “La voix humaine” by Poulenc (theater Arriaga and Teatre El Musical) and the direction of the operas: “I, Claudius” by Igor Escudero, whose world premiere will take place Place in Spain during the month of June – Teatro Romano de Mérida and Palacio Euskalduna de Bilbao-, “La dame de Monte-Carlo” by Poulenc and “Pimpinone” by Telemann.

In 2020 she will begin to collaborate as stage director and stage designer with the Italian company Opera Line: “Rigoletto” and “La Boheme” are the next two titles whose premieres are planned in India and Italy.

Stresses in the artistic work of young Eguilior the ability to unite and reconcile the stage direction with the staging design. Always in charge of the stage design, lighting concept and costume design, she manages to successfully create in all the productions in which she participates, a remarkable integration of scene and aesthetics.
