Singer/Soprano

The Brazilian soprano Thais Cabral began to sing at the age of 15 in the small town of Jequie, northeast of her native county. At the age of 17, she competed by the first time at Salvalirico Competition where she was judged by the famous soprano Neyde Thomas who guided her vocal studies through 3 years. To make it possible she moved to the south of Brazil where she also concluded her undergrad studies at the Paraná’s Faculty of Arts (Brazil). On the following year, Ms. Cabral won the Junior’s Public Honor prize at Salvalirico 2nd edition.

Ms Cabral won scholarships to enjoy the most prestigious international music festivals in Brazil as Divinopolis’s Music Festival, Londrina’s Music Festival, Curitiba’s Music Festival, Puccini Workshop, where she had masterclasses with Bruno Gousset (France), Rio Novello (Italy), Joaquim Paulo do Espirito Santo (Brazil) and Angelo Fernandes (Brazil).

She has performed the roles of Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi (2011), First Lady in Mozart’s Magic Flute (2012), Mimi in Puccini’s La Boheme (2015), Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (2017) and Ms. Segstrom in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music (2018). She was the soprano soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony (2014) and made part of the recording of the 3rd Natal Positivo’s DVD (2017). Ms. Cabral also was one of the 30 finalist at the Debora Voigt Competition 2nd Edition at Vero Beach (2018). She also performed with Atlanta Musicians Orchestra conducted by Dahlan Foah.

Ms. Cabral completed her Master of Arts Degree in Voice Performance at Georgia State University in Atlanta (USA) in Kathryn Hartgrove’s voice studio and Carroll Freeman’s Opera Studio on the Spring of 2018. She will be enjoying the Varna International Music Festival 2019 playing the role of Fiordiligi’s Cosi Fan Tutte directed by the conductor Gregory Buchalter.
