Marko Simovic started his music aducation in Podgorica, at the age of 15 he was already the student of the Music Academy in Cetinje and he graduated from it with a top mark in the class of prof. Roman Simovic. Being awarded a scholarship by the Government of Montenegro, he has finished his master’s studies in Sarajevo.
He had not only his solo concerts, but also was a chamber musician and played throughout Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Albania, Ukraine, Germany, and Belgium.
He had his performances at festivals like: “Barski Ljetopis”, “AMA” Perast, Niksic Guitar Festival, “City-Theatre” Budva, within the project of the Ministry of Culture named “Montenegro, one Cultural Adres”, Tivat Cultural Summer…
He has educated both in the country and abroad, tought by well-known professors, such as: Emil kamilarov, Dina Snayderman, Florian Balage, Sergey Kravchenko, Aleksander Ostrovsky etc.
Marko Simovic is also been dealing with management in music, and has successfully organized more than 400 orchestral, solo and chamber music concerts.
As a manager, he cooperates with renowned domestic and foreign artists, and he also pays a great attention to protecting the interests of young and perspective Montenegrin musicians in the process of their affirmation.
So far, he has been engaged as a manager of festival orchestras: Kotor-Art, AMA Perast, Niksic Guitar Festival, Budva “City-Theatre” in Montenegro.
Since 2005 until 2011 he has been an organizer of the music programme at the Royal Theatre “Zetski Dom” in Cetinje.
Marko Simovic has been teaching violin since 2004, and also is member of Montenegrin composer’s society.
