Tamara Knezevic is born on 13. 06. 1989 in Kotor, where she began her education in
the field of music, at the music school "Vida Matjan". She finished her primary musical
education in the class of professor Jasminka Terzic, where she won a number of gold
and special awards to competitions at home and abroad. For this period, the important
competitions are: the competition in Barletta (Italy) where she won a special award,
and also the competition “Tahir Kulenovic” in Valjevo, where she was the winner of
the contest, and where she was winning the best prizes in the solo category and several chamber ensembles for a few years in a row. She finished her secondary music education also in Kotor in the class of Zana
Marinkovic-Lekic, where she continued with a series of successful concerts and awards
(competition in Pozarevac - golden lira, the Republican contest - special and golden lira,
Barletta - special award, “Davorin Jenko” - the first prize).
At the invitation of Professor Ljubisa Jovanovic, she entered the Music Academy
in Cetinje, skipping the final year of high school. She participated in series of major
competitions such as: “Davorin Jenko” (Belgrade) - special awards,” Petar Konjovic”
(Belgrade) - silver lira, “Tahir Kulenovic” (Valjevo) - gold lira, and also the Republican
contests, where she won special and gold liras. In 2011 she was the winner of academic competition “Manja Radulovic”, where she deserved a solo concert at “Espressivo”, the music festival. Also as a soloist, she participated in the String Festival, which has been held in Kotor for years, as well as in the Kotor Art.
In November 2009, as the best student of the music academy, she was awarded with
the prize of Cetinje, and ZAMTES prize as the student with the best average and the
highest number of awards. As a solo flutist and as a member of the flute quartet "Talija,"
which was created in 2007, she has performed in all the towns and musical scenes in Montenegro. In 2013, she had a solistic concert in the city of Udine, on the festival "Nei suoni dei longhi". She improved her playing skills by visiting many classes with renowned teachers such as: Mikael Helasvuo, Christian Larde, Vincent Lucas, Giovanni Mareggini, D. Busic, Milena Lipovsek, Karoly Maročik, Janos Balint, Norbert Girlinger, Sandrine
Francois and others.
She ifinished Master studies in Cetinje in the class of professor Ljubisa Jovanovic, and
she is also working in high music school "Vida Matjan" in Kotor and as an external
collaborator of Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra.
