Ana Kovačević

Singer/Soprano

Ana Kovacevic, soprano, comes from Serbia, where she started education in voice with professor Georgi Minov. Afterwards, her mentor professor was Violeta Pancetovic Radakovic at Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade (FMU). Currently, she is a master student at Die Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz (KUG) in the class of Joanna Borowska Isser.
While studying in Serbia, Ms. Kovacevic performed in all of the most important halls, including National Theater in Belgrade, Kolarac, Opera and Theater Madlenianum, Student Cultural Center Belgrade etc. She won numerous of top national awards (“Anita Mezetova Fund” as one of the best students in the generation 2011/2012, Fund for Young Talents “Dositeja” scholarship in 2011/2012. The most recently, in 2013, she became the scholar of the Steiremarkisse Sparkasse, “Best of South East” programme.
Ms. Kovacevic attended masterclasses of David Bizic, Marijana Mijanovic and Brigitte Fassbänder.
Ana participated in the Mozart’s “Zauberflöte” (first lady) performance in the Opera and Theatre “Madlenianum” Belgrade in 2012/2013, Donizetti’s “Viva la mamma“ (Corilla) in MUMUTH Graz in 2014, Janacek’s “Jenufa“ (Karolka) in Graz Oper 2014, Mozart’s “Don Giovanni“ (Donna Anna) in MUMUTH Graz 2014. In the seasson 2014/ 2015 in Graz Oper Ms Kovacevic sings in Weber’s “Evita” (Peron’s lover), Mozart’s “ Die Zauberflöte” (Papagena) and Massenet’s “Manon” (Poussette).
Ana was Serbian representative at World Youth Choir in 2008 performing at the opening of the Olympic Games (China), Europe Cantata festival, in 2009 (Netherlands), and Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in 2011 (Norway).
