Milica Popovic


Mezzo-soprano born in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated from the Primary School of Music “Kosta Manojlović” on solo singing, violin and oboe, and High School of Music Arts “Kornelije Stanković” on solo singing in the class of professor Miomira Stanišić-Špirić. Since the 2001, she is a permanent member of the National Choir of Serbian Radio and Television (RTS) as a solo and choir singer (alt/mezzosoprano). From the 2007 she is working with the Belgrade's Opera primadonna, lady Sanja Kerkez. With a choir of RTS she performed on more than 200 concerts with a numerous domestic and foreign conductors. She is a part-time member of the Madlenianum Theatre and Opera from 2007 in the following performances: Madame Butterfly, Les Miserables, as well as numerous jubilee concerts of the Madlenianum. She
was and still is a part-time member of the choirs: Military choir, Military orchestra “Stanislav Binički”, Camera Choir Servikon, National Ensemble „Kolo“, Branko Radičević, Beogradski kamerni hor and Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as with a famous performer Sanja Ilić – Balkanika. She performed as back-vocal of the Jazz Orchestra of the Serbian Radio and Television. With she's colleague, tenor Mr. Slavko Nikolić, she performed on following solo concerts: Participant of the Humanitarian concert in Sava Center, Belgrade 2012 (dedicated to the disabled persons); Concerts on the Serbian Manager Society meetings; Closuring concert on the Festival “Barski ljetopis”, 2013; Smederevo Summertime Culture Festival, 2013; The Day of the Koceljeva Municipality, 2013; Concert “Romantic poems of love” in the Cultural Centre Rakovica, Belgrade 2013; Concert in the Russian Cultural Centre, Belgrade 2013; Concert with the Military orchestra “Stanislav Binički” in the Cultural
Centre Rakovica, 2013; Concert in the Russian Cultural Centre, Belgrade 2014. She was solo participant of the Concert “Days of Cuba” in the Cuban Embassy, 1997 and Concert on the Slovenian national cultural day, Belgrade 2014, etc.
She was also the guest singer at the Television shows with the aim of the promoting of solo concerts.

She’s repertoire consists of the arias from the operas G. Bizet “Carmen” (Carmen), C. Saint-Saens “Samson and Delilah” (Delilah), G. Verdi “Don Carlos” (Eboli), Mozart “Le nozze di Figaro” (Cherubino) as well as numerous popular chansons, solo songs and romances performed in the opera manner.
