Vladimir Gligorić was born in 1979, in Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and completed his Master's and Doctorate in the class of Aleksandar Serdar. He briefly studied at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva (Switzerland).
Gligorić is a laureate of the competition Emil Gilels in Odessa (Ukraine), as well as a finalist of the international piano competitions Jeunesses Musicales in Belgrade and Boesendorfer & Schimell in Phoenix, Arizona (USA), at which he received the award for the best performance of a virtuoso work. He was awarded the annual prize of the Association of Musical Artists of Serbia for the best young artist in 2009 and for the best young artist in 2010 by the specialist magazine Muzika Klasika.
He has given numerous recitals in Serbian cities, as well as in several European cities including Rome, Geneva, Paris and Barcelona. Among the festivals that he has performed at are: OKTOH, Cello Fest, Mermer i zvuci, Composers Rostrum, B.U.N.T. and KoMA in Serbia, Hvar Summer and the Biennale of Contemporary Music in Croatia and Balkan Forum in Bulgaria.
He has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of Radio-Television of Serbia, the Belgrade Strings Dušan Skovran, the Camerata Serbica Orchestra, the Razgrad Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Odessa, under the direction of Bojan Sudjić, Biljana Radovanović, Vladimir Kranjčević, Dragomir Nenov, Hobart Earl and Alexander Walker. Additionally, he has recorded for radio and television in Serbia.
Vladimir Gligorić is a Senior Artistic Associate at the Voice Department at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. For the past ten years he has been working with singers on various projects.
