Francesco Gioia

The Operosa Forum is dedicated to promoting dynamic classical music and opera talent
Dear Operosa,

my name is Francesco Gioia. I am an Italian conductor. I was born in 1979.
I studied piano, got two degrees (one in law and one in pianoforte, solo/chamber music and composition c/o the Conservatory of Udine with a 110/110) and then I dedicated myself to conducting. I studied with several conductors: L. Shambadal (principal conductor of Berliner Symphoniker), K. Arp (teacher in Manheim), D. Renzetti, A. Fogliani, E. Nicotra (Y. Musin russian school), R. Gessi (conductor of Swarowski school), M. Dittrich (Vienna school), W. Themel (Celibidache school), G. Lanzetta.
I’m the founder and conductor of AUDiMuS Orchestra.
I won the 2nd prize in the International Conducting Competition held in Budapest by the Duna Symphony Orchestra and I had a Mention for Merit at the Black Sea International Conducting Competition. I was also semifinalist in the Cordoba International Conducting Competition in 2015.
I conducted concerts in Italy as well as in foreign countries. Lately in Holland with Dutch Symphonic Ensemble. I also worked with Mitteleuropa Orchestra FVG.
My area of interest is basically symphonic music, but I can also conduct different genres, from opera to even pop/rock music arranged for orchestra.
I am looking for an Orchestra interested in a young very efficient and self-motivated guest conductor.
I’m also represented by Xenia Evangelista Management, Munich (Germany).
